Installing and Licensing ASReml
Installation
Installation instructions are distributed with the software.
Under Windows,
ASReml should be installed using the InstallShield program supplied.
It will normally be installed in C:\Program Files\ASReml3
The program and license files reside in the bin directory,
the User Guide resides in the doc directory and
examples reside in the Examples directory.
Licensing
A License file tied to you computer or file server is
required for running ASReml. When you first run ASReml,
it will seek to establish the license by contacting VSN
with your computer details. The license file asreml.lic
may be placed in the bin folder or in Common files\VSN International\Licenses.
