QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were commercial pigs from a three-way cross consisting of a Duroc sire line crossed with an F1 female (Landrace x Large White). |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the Illumina PorcineSNP60 v2 Beadchip and analyzed for peak shear force and other meat quality traits. A total of 42,721 SNPs were used for analysis. A subpopulation was further analyzed using SNPs in CAST. |
Analysis: | A Bayes B method and a multi-marker association model were used. |
Software: | PLINK, SAS, Haploview, GenSel, ASReml |
