QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Four half-sib families (n = 382) consisting Indonesian Thin Tail x Merino x Merino backcross progeny. |
Breeds associated:
n/a
|
Design: | Merino and Indonesian Thin Tail sheep demonstrate differences in weight performance. Weight was measured and birth and 1 year of age. 141 informative microsatellite markers were used in a genome-wide scan covering the 26 autosomes. |
Analysis: | Maddox et al. 2001 marker positions were used. A number of fixed factors were considered. Experiment-wide and chromosome-wide permutation tests (1000) were performed at 5% and 1% levels. |
Software: | QTL Express |
