     Breeds associated:
    Design:Phenotypic measurements: live weight at eight weeks, ultrasonic scanning at 20 weeks. Corrected for fixed effects. Genotyping: chromosomes 1-3, 18, 20 at a total of 69 markers at an average interval of 17cM. Marker order as per Maddox et al. 2001.
    Analysis:Chromosome-wide significance of QTL were determined by permutation testing.
