  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:The animals used were from a 3-generation F2 population based on cross-breeding of two boars of the naturalized Brazilian Piau breed with 18 commercial females (Landrace x Large White x Pietrain). There were a total of 617 F2 animals
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Animals were genotyped for five microsatellite markers on chromosome 4 and analyzed for carcass composition, and internal organs traits
Analysis:Segregating markers and traits in the F2 of resource families are analyzed with a least-squares method. Critical threshold values of the test statistic were derived by a permutation test
Software:Express software; CRIMAP software; CERVUS v.3.0 software
