Subject: Havemeyer Workshop 2026: Now Accepting Abstracts
Date: Sun, 11 Jan 2026 15:49:23 -0600
shared on behalf of Dr. Ted Kalbfleisch

All,

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 15th International Havemeyer
Foundation Horse Genome Workshop in Lexington, KY set for August 16th-19th,
2026. The portal for submitting abstracts can be accessed through the
"Submit an Abstract" tab on our website, here:
https://havemeyer.mgcafe.uky.edu/

As with previous meetings attendance is by invitation based on these
abstracts. As stated above, the submission window is now open and will close
March 1, 2026. It is our intent to notify applicants of their acceptance, or
otherwise by March 31, 2026. This meeting will provide an excellent
opportunity for interaction with the many horse industry stakeholders, breed
associations, and equine veterinarians from the Lexington area. It will also
feature new developments in the domains of T2T genome, and pangenome
assemblies for the horse and other equids, and, as always recent cutting-edge
research.

We are very much looking forward to hosting this meeting, and hope
that
you will submit an abstract for evaluation.

Best regards,

Ted
